🗓️ City Council Meetings
- 📍 Location: City Hall, 119 S Main Street
- 🕠 Schedule: 1st and 4th Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM

🚖 Holstein Taxi Service
- 🕗 Operating Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 📞 To Schedule a Ride: Call (712) 368-4898
- 📍 Service is limited to areas within Holstein city limits
💧 City Utility Services
Includes: Water, Sewer, and Storm Sewer
🧾 Billing Information
- Bills mailed: 1st of each month
- Due: 20th of the month
- Late Fee: $15, applied on the 21st
- Disconnection: 12 days after the 21st, excluding Sunday's/holidays
- Reconnect Fee: $60 + past due balance
💳 Automatic Payments available—deducted the 20th of the month.

- Included on your city utility bill
- Recycling is mandatory:
- Blue bins are provided
- Bins must stay with the home if you move
- Improper recycling may result in refused pickup or a citation
🚗 Parking Restrictions
- Residential Areas:
- ❄️ No parking from November 1 to April 1, between 2:00 AM – 5:00 AM
- Downtown Area:
- 🚫 No parking year-round between 2:00 AM – 5:00 AM

🐾 Pet Licensing & Ordinance
- All pets must be leashed within city limits
- Dogs and cats must be licensed annually:
- Fee: $15 per pet (due by Jan 31)
- Late fee: $7 (after Jan 31)
- Dogs must have current rabies vaccination
- Tags available at City Hall
🌿 Yard & Property Maintenance
✂️ Lawn Care
- Grass and weeds must be kept under 9 inches
- Non-compliance may result in:
- Mowing by city at $50/hour
- Plus a $75 surcharge
🔥 Yard Waste & Burning
- Open burning only allowed during City-designated periods (check with City Hall)
- Year-round drop-off for grass, leaves, and branches at lagoon site
- ❌ No trash, cans, bottles, or household waste allowed
❄️ Snow & Ice Removal
- Property owners must clear sidewalks promptly following a snow/ice event
- Failure to clear may result in the City doing so and billing the property owner

🌪️ Emergency Siren Testing
- Tornado sirens are tested on the first Monday of every month
- ⚠️ No “all clear” signal will be issued after testing
