Call to                           The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gross at 12:07 P.M.  Members present

Order                            were: Buell ,Breyfogle Kofmehl and Lukins. Members Absent: Ehler

 

 

Consent                         NONE

Agenda

 

 

Adoption of                    Council considered the adoption of Ordinance 197: An Ordinance Pertaining

Ordinance 197               to Required Traffic Stops in Holstein, IA.  Motion by Breyfogle, seconded by  

                                    Buell to approve Ordinance 197 as presented.  All Ayes. Motion Carried.

                                    Motion by Buell, seconded by Breyfogle to suspend the 2nd and 3rd reading

                                    of the Ordinance.  All Ayes.  Motion Carried.

                                    Motion by Breyfogle, seconded by Lukins to adopt Ordinance 197 upon

                                    publication.  All Ayes. Motion Carried.

           

 

Rental of City                 Council considered the bids for rent of land for agricultural purposes.  The

Property                        following bids were received for the planting of alfalfa on the former Benning

Property:

Ø       Kim/Kevin Conover: $55.00 per acre

Ø       John Georg: $76.60 per acre

Ø       Chad/Jim Dutler: $165.50 per acre.

 

Motion by Kofmehl, seconded by Buell to accept bid by Chad and Jim Dutler for

                                    Rent of city property upon clarification of terms.  All Ayes. Motion Carried.

 

 

Eagle Scout                   John Harris was present to discuss a proposed project for him to get his    

Project:                         Eagle Scout designation. It would involve the rehabilitation of the Turnhalle

John Harris                    Replica on the Library grounds. Motion by Breyfogle, second by Lukins to approve

                                    project as described.  All Ayes. Motion Carried.

 

 

Dump Truck                   Motion by Lukins, seconded by Breyfogle to approve purchase of Peterbilt

Purchase                       Dump Truck as presented  All Ayes.  Motion Carried.
