SPECIAL MEETING

MINUTES

 

Meeting was called to order by Mayor Mary Gross.

 

Members present: Breyfogle, Buell, Ehler, Kofmehl, and Lukins

Members Absent: None

 

Also Present: John Georg, Holstein Sanitation

NIMS Statement             Motion by Breyfogle, second by Ehler to approve Statement of Compliance as           

of Compliance                presented.  All Ayes.  Motion carried.

                                               

                                

 Consideration of             Council discussed options to haul municipal garbage in Holstein in light of the closing

Garbage Hauling             of the Ida County landfill in 2007. Motion by Breyfogle, seconded by Ehler to adopt letter of Options                           intent to direct haul municipal garbage to the Cherokee County landfill.  All Ayes.  Motion 

                                    Carried.

                                   

 

Garbage Landfill             Council considered an ordinance to increase the Garbage Landfill Fee for Holstein

Fee Increase:                pursuant to the county per-capita fee.  Motion by Kofmehl, seconded by Breyfogle

Ordinance 195               to adopt Ordinance 195.  All Ayes. Motion Carried.

Motion by Buell, seconded by Kofmehl to suspend the rules for 2nd and 3rd reading of Ordinance 195.  All Ayes.  Motion Carried.

Motion by Breyfogle, seconded by Kofmehl to adopt Ordinance 195 as read. All Ayes.

Motion Carried.
